Let’s take a closer look at this project! This is another instance, where a client wanted a full reset, without having to purchase any additional products. This client already had great bones, and fantastic containment for their items. It was just a matter of resorting, and categorizing like with like.
Here is a look at the before:

And here is the after:

This is what we did:
- Removed everything from the pantry, and I do mean EVERYTHING. Starting with a completely clean slate, is the best way to determine the amount of space you have available for the items that will be going back in.
- Next, we started to unbox. Discarding cardboard packaging is one of the easiest ways to save space in a pantry.
- We went through every item, inspecting expiration dates, and tossing any items that were expired
- We then categorized like items together, and utilized the clients existing containers to put categorized product back into
- Once all items were reviewed, we replaced them all back into the pantry!
In the end, we were able to utilize their existing containers to recategorize her food items. Working within what her day to day access is, we were able to reset her pantry to allow her children access to some items, while keeping the medicine, and more adult snacks at the top. Grab and go snacks were right in the center, cooking additives easy to see on turntables, and enough room to add more containers or food items if needed.
